The 2019 Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Festival Concluded Successfully |

At
noon of April 24st, the
third Sino-Foreign Cultural
Exchange Festival, hosted by
the
China Communist Youth
League Committee and International
Cooperation and Exchange Department of USTC, and
undertook by USTC Graduate Union, was successfully held in the student activity center on east campus of USTC. International students from all over the world and Chinese students enjoyed the cultural event together.

During the activity, Director Hou Zhonghuai and Vice Director Jiang Jiajie of USTC International Cooperation and Exchange Department, and Secretary Yang Xiaoguo of USTC Youth League Committee, came to visit the site and expressed their expectation for the future development of the festival. |

|
|
|
|
The participating international students were from 17 countries, including Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Somalia, Malawi, Kazakhstan, Suriname, Ghana, Rwanda, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Indonesia, Cambodia, Russia and South Korea, expressed their love for China and USTC in their own way. |

|
In the exhibition area of various national customs, international students showed their culture by wearing their national characteristic clothes, sharing the delicious food, introducing the novel folk customs, displaying the ornaments full of cultural features and musical instruments. On the stage for performance, a child from Bangladesh recited a poem in Chinese and sang a song in Bengal, which won the audience’s applause for showing the charm of different languages. Students from Pakistan presented the friendship between China and Pakistan by singing a song. Bangladeshi and Nigerian students sang together to make the "Cultural Silk Road" stretch to the hearts of people with golden notes. A soul singer from Suriname sang an adapted version of the famous song named Chengdu to arouse the audience’s warmest and most profound memory about Hefei. hearts of people with golden notes. The Chinese exhibition area was composed of six parts, including tea, food, skillfulness, chess, calligraphy and painting. On stage, Chinese students performed a passionate jazz dance at first. Next, a popular rap performance ignited the enthusiasm of participants. Then, the melodious tone of Chinese zither presented the essence of traditional Chinese art to the audience. Besides, the brilliant dragon dance with unique Chinese characteristics won the cheers of the crowd. |

In the afternoon, the third Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Festival concluded with a great success in cheerful laughter. This cultural feast and world tour fully demonstrated the harmonious and inclusive exchange of different civilizations. In all, civilizations are diverse and colorful for cultural exchanges and mutual learning, which promote the progress of human civilization and advance world peace and development.
